E. Saarinen
Saarinen was a Finnish-American architect turned famous furniture designer. Design ran in his veins, his father was a famous architect and his mother a textile artist. One of Eero’s great family friends was Florence Knoll. He joined the Knoll design company and for the next 15 years Saarinen designed many of the most recognizable Knoll pieces, including the Tulip chairs and tables, the Womb chair, and the 70 series seating collection.
